Revenue Management Technical Academy (RMTA)
-
Although Revenue Management (RM) practice has existed since time immemorial, it was only from the late 1980s to the early 2000s that its theory and practice began to be more studied and organized in academic terms. Consequently, it was only in the mid-2000s that the very first technical books on the subject began to be published and it was only very recently that we began to see a second wave of books on the subject.
Furthermore, due to the lack of clarity and organization on the subject, especially before the publication of the second wave of these books, it become difficult for academies or schools around the world to take a more in-depth approach to the RM teaching process, creating, therefore, an equivocated notion that such a process is quite simple and easy to implement.
In other words, although such an initial approach has been fundamental to convey the general basic notion of what RM process is to the general public (professionals from industries with RM-type business conditions, other professionals, students of management and economic sciences, consultants, and so on), unfortunately it failed to transmit to this same audience how RM is implemented, as well as how complex this process can be.
In this sense, the Revenue Management Technical Academy (RMTA) felt that it was necessary to move to the next level, that is, to move from the level of the final year of High School or Vocational School (RM Beginner's Level) to a level equivalent to a Bachelor's degree (RM Intermediate's Level) or even in some subjects to a level equivalent to a Master's Degree (RM Advanced Level). Therefore, the level of difficulty of each module in this academy will corresponds to:- Intermediate 1st level »»» Bachelor 1st year
- Intermediate 2nd level »»» Bachelor 2nd year
- Intermediate 3rd level »»» Bachelor 3rd year
- Advanced 1st level »»» Master 1st year
- Advanced 2nd level »»» Master 2nd year
